1.    Send something in writing to the Budget Committee and all the Councillors.  You don’t have to input all the email addresses yourself, simply ask that your email be shared with or copied to the Mayor and Councillors.  The Budget Committee clerk, Kelly McCarthy, can be reached via email buc@toronto.ca or postal mail at 10th floor, West Tower, City Hall, 100 Queen Street West, Toronto, ON M5H 2N2.
2.    Go to my Web site at www.ward13.ca for the petition I’ve started.  Print it, sign it, send it to me or drop it off at your local Fire Station by Friday, January 11.

  1. Tony Araujo says:

So much anger from Councillor Doucette on response time, but nary a peep on turnout times.

From the WPI FPRF Mobilization Study:
13 North American fire departments – 123 sec. to get dressed
Toronto Fire – 188 seconds to get dressed.
65 additional agonizing seconds than their NA peers.

From the WPI FPRF Mobilization Study: Turnout over a 60′ course:
    Toronto Fire Pumper 212 – 56 seconds
    Toronto Fire Rescue 412 – 80 seconds
The exact same test but with a deadly 24 sec. difference

Toronto Fire promised to cut 60 sec. from Turnout Time by 2012 at no additional cost, but they did nothing. Why?
