The Good Neighbour Espresso Bar has installed a banquette seat along the east wall.
Wonderful, although this blog thinks it may soon be flanked by tables and chairs.
But in the intern we should be able to see how many situational artists and flaneurs there are in the community as they incredibly attracted to such seats And the wide view of life passing by.
So you now probably how happy this blog is that they have built an exterior banquette.

From 11 am to 4 pm. Donkey Day, annual open house, Sunday, June 10 at the Donkey Sanctuary of Canada
Since 1992, The Donkey Sanctuary of Canada has been a refuge for donkeys, mules and hinnies who have been neglected or abused, or who can no longer be cared for by their owners. The Sanctuary rescues the donkey with hooves so long it lives in constant pain and cannot walk. It saves a terrified mule shivering in a pen in a slaughterhouse. It offers a home to a much-loved donkey whose aging owners can no longer provide adequte care. At the Sanctuary, the animals are provided a welcome and often life-saving peaceful haven after years of suffering and neglect.

There is a meeting tomorrow April 16, 2012 for Ward 17 regarding widening the road at St.Clair and Keele between Old Weston Rd and Keele right under the bridge. I encourage all to go out and show your support to get the road widened to two lanes each including the widening the bridge. This also impacts Ward 11 so the more people in favour of widening the road the better chances it will be implemented.

Road Modifications – St. Clair & Old Weston Road
PUBLIC MEETING
(A)s cheduled a public meeting on Monday, April 16, 2012 – 7:00 PM at the Joseph J. Piccininni Centre, 1369 St. Clair Avenue West, just west of Lansdowne Avenue. The purpose of this meeting is to get your input on proposed modifications that are both necessary and urgent. TTC/City Staff will be on hand to provide us with information and options on what improvements can me made; please make every effort to attend.
Traffic movement on St. Clair Avenue West, between Keele Street and Old Weston Road has become dangerous and a total nightmare. Residents and the business community have expressed their deep concern over this stretch of roadway, as congestion and gridlock create unreasonable travel times.
This intersection is not safe and immediate changes are needed to make it safer for TTC users, motorists and pedestrians. To realize this goal, I have moved recommendations at the Etobicoke York Community Council and at the TTC, asking the Commission to report back as soon as possible on the feasibility of implementing these changes
A while ago the city removed a ill tree from a local front yard. This evergreen tree had grow taller than the surrounding buildings and a pruning by a city contractor had left the tree in rough shape.
So down it came. It’s will stayed the course thought with its remaining huge and growling stump. A large truck and a stump grinder came today and won.
A new tree will be planted though.
